Hi! My name is Rosi
I am Rosa Delia Peraza Peña, and I have the honor of being the artisan behind Lunarte, a project born from my love for handmade art and the stories woven into each creation. In this section, I will share more About Me.
My passion for crafts began at the age of 8, thanks to my grandmother Panchita, an extraordinary woman who, despite not knowing how to read or write, patiently taught me the basics of knitting. She showed me how to cast on stitches and perform basic knitting techniques: garter and stockinette stitch. Under her guidance, I discovered the joy of creating something from scratch. Since then, I have honed my skills, first with specialized magazines and later with the countless digital resources available today.
Crochet is one of my greatest passions, a technique I learned self-taught and developed with a very personal style. Although I hold the yarn and hook in an unconventional way, what truly matters is not how it's done, but what is created. Every stitch, every detail, reflects my essence and my love for handmade art. Because each person has their own unique style, and that's where the magic lies.
At Lunarte, I’m not alone. My family plays a key role in this project. My daughter Carmen, with her incredible creativity and dedication, manages the design and social media, connecting with our community and sharing the story behind each creation. Meanwhile, Daniel, my eldest son, takes charge of the programming and operation of our website and online store, ensuring everything runs smoothly and professionally. Having their support makes Lunarte much more than a business—it’s a family project filled with love and commitment. And, of course, Simba, our beloved dog, is always present, bringing joy to our workshop.
The name Lunarte holds a very special meaning. It is a tribute to Luna, our loyal dog who was with us for 17 years. Her love and loyalty left an indelible mark on our lives, which is why we decided to name our Instagram account @lunarte17 in her honor.
Every piece I create, whether small or large, carries a part of my story and dedication. In each project, I blend traditional techniques with modern touches, mixing colors, textures, and ideas to craft something unique. Every detail is thoughtfully designed to convey the love and passion we put into Lunarte, making each creation special and personal for the recipient. At Lunarte, I don’t just craft unique garments and accessories; I create art with soul—pieces that tell stories and, when they reach your hands, become part of a new one.
